My loving little trouble maker! I was driving a friend home while she was telling me about her neighbors and their cat. They hardley ever fed her, so my friend was leaving food out because she had a litter of kittens. When we got to her house I noticed the mama waiting for my friend to get her some food and I also noticed the kittens under her neighbors car. I snuck over to their driveway and tried to capture one of the babies. I was focused on a little black one, but he was pretty strong, and was able to keep out of my reach. Leigh was probably the smallest and weakest of the bunch so she couldn't wiil herself to move fast enough so she was an easy capture. I brought her home, cleaned her up, and fell in love. Leigh is a little mischievous, but I think is one of the qualities I enjoy best about her. Oddly enough Leigh loves water. If you try to take a bath and fail to close the door completely she will most definitely end up in your lap. When shes in trouble she knows its nearly impossible to reach her if she gets behind the couch, or under the bed. She absolutely will not drink water from a bowl. When shes thirsty she waits for someone to go into the bathroom, jumps up on the sink and stares at you until you turn the water on. She refuses to eat anything but her food. Ive tried giving her lunch meat, ice cream, kitty treats...she just stiffs it, licks her lips and walks away. She loves when I hold her because I held her so much when she was a baby. She has never once growled, hissed, or taken a swipe at me (maybe a few swipes when we play.) Shes waiting at the door for me when I come home and if I get home early and catch her by surprise she comes running down the hallway sleepy eyed and meowing to greet me.
