About Us

“I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child must
that we will be kind and take care of their needs... [They] are an obligation put on us, a responsibility we have no right
to neglect, nor to violate by cruelty.”
James Herriot (Scottish Veterinarian and Writer. 1916-1995)
Our Story
In 2005, the owners of Atlantic Street Veterinary Hospital and Pet Emergency Center made the decision to sell their general veterinary practice focus solely on emergency medicine. Dr. Jeff Schmidt took the opportunity to purchase the general practice keeping three core values in mind. First, achieve excellent client SERVICE. Second, provide QUALITY veterinary medical care to our patients enlisting our well-educated and caring staff. Third, be COMPASSIONATE to our clients and their companions and their specific needs.
Dr. Frank Lux, Dr. Patricia Colley and Dr. Doug McDougall join Dr. Schmidt and the dedicated Technical and Client Service staff at Arbor View Veterinary Clinic. Our mission is to provide you and your pet's quality medicine, exceptional service, and a compassionate and caring veterinary experience.
